The Freedom Circuit is a challenging self-supported bikepacking race that takes place in South Africa each April, incorporating large portions of the Freedom Trail. It’s offered in 400km and 700km options, and the 2021 event had more than 40 riders registered. Chasing a Moment is a short film by Llewellyn Lloyd that follows Adrian Saffy’s (@saffinator) experience riding the longer route—traversing the Southern Drakensberg foothills between Underberg and Naudes Nek Pass.
