In 2017, Rickie Cotter and Lee Craigie rode the Tour Divide and documented their trip. Shot entirely using a Go Pro and an iPhone, Divided, an official selection of the Banff Film Festival, follows the two friends on an inspirational journey from Canada to Mexico.
Fear of failure can stop all sorts of adventures before they even start. But what if failing is the best part? In 2017, Rickie Cotter and Lee Craigie rode the Tour Divide, the iconic 2,745 mile self-supported mountain bike race from Canada to Antelope Wells at the Mexican border. Along the way, the two captured the journey using a Go Pro and an iPhone. During the trip, they simply let the story unfold. The result is an inspiring film that was selected to tour with the Banff Film Festival. As part of The Adventure Syndicate—a non-profit collective of female endurance cyclists—the two hope their story inspires and encourages others to set out on their own adventure. Watch the trailer below or rent the full 39 minute film for $7. Any profits made from this film go directly to The Adventure Syndicate.
