PACKDURO: 5 Days Self-Supported Bikepacking in the Canadian Rockies (Film)

Last year, a group of five friends set off a five day bikepacking trip in the Canadian Rockies—a mix of multi-hour hike-a-bike and steep scree field descents. A style of riding they’ve coined as “Packduro”. Watch their full 43-minute film here…

Packduro: (Pack·duro) bikepacking + enduro.

Although there’s plenty of great riding in the Canadian Rockies, much the region is centered around hiking and mountaineering. That didn’t stop Kirkwood Hunt, Logan Hurd, Michael Jobbo, Chris Volkart, and Cheryl McClorey, who set off on a 5-day self-supported packduro adventure based on a route crafted from Chris’ years of mountaineering experience in the mountains. They pushed their way up steep mountains in search of epic scree field descents, repelled down a rock wall, and got to travel in some beautiful areas that have likely never seen bikes before.
