The Cairngorms Loop circumnavigates one of the most stunning areas in the Scottish Highlands, Cairngorms National Park. However, it’s no easy task, especially when the weather makes it even more intense. Josh Ibbet (@joshibbett) is no stranger to taking on such challenges. Last year he rode the tough Lakeland 200 in extreme conditions, aiming to finish in just under a day. In his latest video (edited by Ryan Le Garrec), Josh and Rich set out to ride the Cairngorms Loop in about two days. The Cairngorms Loop trail circumnavigates one of the most stunning areas in the Scottish Highlands, Cairngorms National Park. Dirt roads and singletracks climb valleys and twist their way back down through ancient Caledonian Forest. This route takes riders back to the roots of mountain biking and some sections will challenge even the experienced bikepacker. Find the full route guide here.
