Sofiane Sehili’s 2022 Tour Divide win was exciting one to follow. During his rookie year in 2016, he tied for third place. Then, in 2019, he returned with plans to win but scratched after whiteout blizzard conditions on Sand Pass forced him to retreat back to Brush Mountain Lodge. While he has earned himself some big wins in that time, including first place at the Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan and Atlas Mountain Race in Morocco, it was clear he has some unfinished business with the 2,664-mile race from Canada to the New Mexico border.
