Wolf Tooth just added a new 2° GeoShift Performance Angle Headset to their line of angle headsets, allowing you to slacken or steepen your head tube angle by 2°. Learn more here…
Wolf Tooth’s GeoShift Headsets allow you to adjust your head tube angle by repositioning your fork’s steerer tube within the head tube. What makes their headsets unique is that the bearings sit at an angle that aligns with the steerer tube, rather than flat inside head tube, to avoid unnecessary stress after the geometry has been slackened. Previously only offered in a 1° version, the new 2° model looks like an interesting option for those looking to experiment with their bike’s geometry.
The new Wolf Tooth Components 2° GeoShift Performance Angle Headset allows you to change your head tube angle by -2º to make for a slacker geometry for added stability on fast descents, or by +2º by using the opposite orientation of the headset to make for a steeper geometry for quicker steering with maximum front-wheel traction. It is available in three different upper/lower pairs: EC44/EC44, EC44/EC49, and EC44/ZS56, with options for 90-115mm or 115-140mm head tube lengths. Wolf Tooth has put together a detailed compatibility chart, which we’ve included below. They also offer crown race adapters for those who have frame specs that don’t quite match up.
