Available for pre-order today, the DirtySixer Gravel Bike is described as “the ultimate gravel bike for tall riders,” complete with 32-inch wheels and an aluminum frame. You can save over $1,000 by pre-ordering one. Check it out here…
At 6’6″ tall, David Folch founded DirtySixer to design a better bike for tall folks. The brand launched in 2013 with the 36-inch-wheeled DirtySixer, and in 2016, they released their first prototype with 32-inch bike. Once again, they’ve turned to crowdfunding to bring their latest offering, the DirtySixer Gravel Bike, into reality.
The DirtySixer Gravel Bike is based around massive (but not 36-inch big) 32-inch wheels. According to David, it’s designed to “conquer any terrain with unmatched comfort and performance.” It can accommodate up to 2.5-inch wide tires, and the frame has two bottle mounts inside the main triangle and fender mounts, but it doesn’t look like there are any dedicated rear rack mounts. The frame has internal cable routing and uses a 31.6mm seatpost.
The Gravel Bike is based around a single well-rounded build kit complete with a carbon fork with three-pack mounts, 36-hole DirtySixer alloy rims, a Ritchey Comp Beacon XL handlebar, and a SRAM Apex 12-speed drivetrain. It’s specced with DirtySixer x VeeTire T-Monster 32-inch (686 BSD) x 2.40-inch tires, which look pleasantly chunky for rough gravel roads and light trails. We don’t have a geometry chart to share now, but DirtySixer should be announcing that soon.
Full payment is required to take advantage of the discounted pre-order pricing. The standard price for the complete build is $5,899, and the pre-order price is $4,129, available until November 30th. This winter, they plan to finalize geometry and component selection, move into production in the spring, and deliver the bikes in June.
