The Terra Adventure tire is the newest offering from Continental, and it comes in 45, 50, and 55mm widths. Said to perfectly balance puncture protection and rolling resistance, the Terra Adventure tire is a solid link between a gravel tire and something you might find on an XC bike. Read on for details…

The newest addition to the Continental gravel tire lineup is the Terra Adventure. Inspired by their XC mountain bike designs, the Terra Adventure tire is a fast-rolling, open-tread-pattern tire that comes in widths ranging from 700 x 45mm to 55mm. All options provide sidewall and center reinforcement for puncture protection, and they’re both tubeless ready and hookless compatible. The Terra Adventure tire is also said to offer exceptional bite through Continental’s grip compound, which enhances damping and traction.

I’ve had some mixed experiences on the wide range of Continental offerings. My favorite tire of all time is their Race King—a 2.25″ tire that I tend to run on fat tire gravel bikes. I’ve also had a less-than-ideal time running their Terra Speed tire. Though the area where these tires never seem to falter is puncture protection, it will be interesting to see how the Terra Adventure tire balances durability and rolling resistance. With a tread similar to the Terra Trail and Terra Speed offerings, I’m hoping this tire has a bit more grip in the corners.

The Terra Adventure tire comes in at a weight of 540 grams for its 45mm width, 620 grams for the 50mm width, and 730 grams for the larger 55mm width. Tires retail for €61.95 each and are available now. For more, visit Continental-Tires.com.
