Since launching Basecamp last week, we’ve already made a bunch of tweaks and fixed a handful of bugs that were brought to our attention. Several of our editors also added dozens of new and gently used items for sale in the Bike Camp Co-op. Many of our members did, too! Find an update here…
After several years in development, we proudly rolled out a whole host of new features for members last week. Our new Bikepacking Collective Basecamp features a variety of what we hope are helpful resources for supporters of the site. While these features are new and still need some ironing out, Logan has been hard at work and making progress to sort out any potential issues. With that said, here’s an list of the bug fixes and updates we’ve already made to Basecamp.
Basecamp Bug Fixes: March 2025
- Member thumbnails are now displaying throughout Basecamp; you can upload yours from the Member Profile page.
- The My Interactions page now sorts Interactions by the date of the most recent comments on the interaction, and that same date is displayed on the card. This page also paginates listings after 12 now.
- Several display/cache bugs were fixed; if you had issues previously, please hard refresh [shift] + [cmnd] + [r] the page.
- Co-op listing images are now compressed on upload, and the upload limit has been increased to 5MB!
- Interactions now display who they’re from rather than the lister’s name, making it much easier to keep up with.
- Several phone display issues were fixed; please hard refresh if you had issues previously.
- Now Co-op is displaying 18 listings per page.
- Co-op no longer requires you to update images when editing co-op listings.
Some Requests for Users
With these fixes, however, come some humble requests from our team. First, be it for buying, selling, trading, or asking questions, we urge you to upload a profile photo as a helpful signifier that you are, in fact, real. Secondly, while the verbiage of the initial feature was a bit confusing, please only use the “Verify Interaction” element after you have received an item or payment for an item. It’s a tool meant to verify the legitimacy of an interaction after it has been completed, not that it has simply occurred. Think of it as leaving positive feedback.
Basecamp Co-Op Finds
Bug fixes aside, there are already some fantastic deals to be found on the Bike Camp Co-op. It’s constantly being updated with great used gear from the community, including a deluge of lightly used equipment our team of editors has amassed over the years. Have gear to sell? We encourage you to list it so someone else from our worldwide member community can enjoy it!

Currently, a set of Growtac equal brakes, a truly massive Midnight Special, and Logan’s unused Quocs are the pick of the litter, and new listings are popping up hourly.
