Our 212th edition of Weekend Snapshot takes us on a tour of Europe, Africa, and the Americas, where we catch up with three readers from our worldwide bikepacking community. Tag along as they ride roads and trails that showcase the unique beauty of all three regions. Once you’re all caught up, continue scrolling to find some related posts and a quick form you can use to share a photo from one of your recent adventures.
Baja California, Mexico
By Ryan Dunham
I’m spending my winter riding the Baja Divide Route. Yesterday was my favorite section of the trip so far, riding among the many boojum trees. Looking forward to more days of fantastic riding throughout February!
Warsaw, Poland

A stone’s throw from where I live, not so long ago, during a snow patrol in the forest, I spotted the joyful creativity of children and adults, practiced during the day. At night, in the beam of light from my bike, it looked weird and fascinating. The night portraits were an added bonus to my winter ride.
Morocco
By Florian van de Calseyde
Having pinned up the poster of the Route of Caravans from Issue 14 of The Bikepacking Journal in my room, I fell asleep every night looking at it. Between jobs, I had some spare time and decided to go on a long bikepacking trip. At the time of writing, we’ve passed through the desert and are heading north again, unsure about the snow up ahead in the High Atlas. The route has been magnificent. Morocco truly delivers!
