With clearance for 29+ tires and loads of mounts (including three-pack seat stay mounts), the new Breezer Thunder is a fully rigid chromoly steel mountain bike that was designed with versatility and affordability in mind. Find specs and the rather impressive complete build kit here…

Quietly released this week, the new Breezer Thunder is a fully rigid steel mountain bike with a reasonable price tag and some pretty appealing features for bikepacking. It’s built up around a Chromoly steel frame and fork, boost hub spacing and thru-axles, external cable routing (as well as internal dropper post routing), and has clearance for tires up to 29 x 2.95”. The Thunder is offered in a single Shimano Deore 1 x 12-speed build complete with Shimano MT-501 hydraulic brakes and chunky WTB Vigilante TCS 29 x 2.5″ tires.

The frame itself is fully kitted out with mounting options, including rack and fenders, standard bottle mounts, triple pack mounts on the fork legs and the seat stays, plus additional bosses on the top tube and under the downtube. It’s safe to say that the Breezer Thunder will have no problem lugging whatever you need for a night out this fall. Find the full build kit and additional specs below.

Breezer Thunder

After a quick glance at Breezer’s geometry chart, it looks like the Thunder shares more than a few similarities with our recently reviewed Kona Unit X: a long wheelbase, slack-ish head tube angle, and a more trail-worthy riding position that should make it a great all-rounder. Currently, the Breezer Thunder is offered in one colour, gray w/burnt orange, and retails for $1,499.99 USD through your local Breezer dealer. Head over to BreezerBikes.com to learn more.
