Lucas Winzenburg has been obsessed with off-road touring for more than two decades.
In 2012, he founded Bunyan Velo, the first independent magazine devoted to bikepacking, through which he also hosted a live speaker series and developed a grant program to support traveling cyclists. In 2017, he left his full-time gig in academia to focus on pushing the boundaries of pedal-powered storytelling. Having lived all over the world, he's now based in Colorado.
