Rigs of DOOM 2026 (Part Two): The Singlespeeders
Part two of our massive Rigs of DOOM 2026 roundup is a special showcase of all the singlespeed bikes taking part in this year’s event. Explore our collection of more than 30 one-geared rigs, featuring rider-submitted details on their build, bags, and equipment highlights here…
PUBLISHED Mar 12, 2026
Following part one of this year’s Rigs of DOOM 2026 roundup earlier today, we’re mixing things up with an extra-special roundup of over 30 singlespeeders taking on the full Ouachita DOOM route. It’s unclear why DOOM seems to attract so many singlespeed riders, but last year there were 30 registered, and in 2026 there are well over 50, split across the three route options. Aaron Arnzen put together an exposé on the DOOM singlespeed story last year, and each year, it seems more riders are inspired by the singlespeeders who came before them.
With help from Andrew Onermaa and the Ozark Gravel Cyclists, our second and final Rigs of DOOM 2026 roundup features many of the singlespeeders taking on the full 325+ mile Ouachita DOOM route. As always, we’ve included bike, equipment, and navigation device details, which hopefully serve as inspiration to get out on your own ride, or potentially toe the line at a bikepacking event someday. Dig into the 2026 DOOM singlespeeders below.
