A kind of Tour Divide made in France that links the Franco-Belgian border to the Franco-Spanish border. A challenging all-roads route between gravel and mountain biking using the GR footpaths of Santiago de Compostela.
The French Divide was created as a result of more and more cyclists who feel they don’t match the spirit of traditional cycling races anymore. The FD organizers noticed that many self-supported ultra-distance mountain-biking are appearing all over Europe. Riders have 15 days to tackle the 2,200km route, along gravel roads and trails that largely follow the legendary route of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle.
