2023 Hell(ish) of the North West

Hell of the North West, an unrelenting pursuit of hills around the north west of England, 845Km with over 15,000m of climbing over broken northern tarmac. You’ll start in the Forest of Bowland and head over to the Yorkshire Dales, conquer the Pennines, then head through to the Lake District where the steep hills will reward you with amazing views, then over the Pennines, the dales, before the Calder valley and the West Pennine Moors call you back.

For those that want something more manageable, I also made hellish of the north west, some 200Km less and about 3000m less climbing whilst following the spirit of the route, it’s still a tough route to ride.
