2026 The Snallygaster 200

This tough but stunning 200 mile route features nearly 23,000 feet of climbing on primarily gravel and dirt roads while traversing parts of the Monongahela National Forest and four state parks in Maryland. The route begins and finishes in the picturesque small town of Oakland, MD, once voted the best small town in the U.S. Along the route, racers will get the opportunity to see countless vistas, virgin hemlock forests, and all the majesty of the ancient Appalachians. New for 2026, riders can choose to complete the course clockwise or counterclockwise. There will also be shorter 100 mile or 100K routes available.
