Æthelred Ultra is a new gravel ultra-cycling event around the historic kingdom of Wessex. The 600km loop starts near Salisbury and takes in the best of Dorset, Wiltshire, and the New Forest. Following a figure-8 loop with the race HQ at the nexus allows riders to rest and resupply between loops and even change their bib shorts. This also allows riders to ride either one of the two loops as an intro to an ultra.

The format makes this ride Ideal as a first ultra or an early-season prep race for races further afield.
