Aur Gotland 2020

Aur is one of many words for gravel on Gotnish. Some other words are saur, gräus, grum, gruttel, fleisaur and the telling vägmord, translating road murder. This verbosity has its origin in a dateless quest among the Gotlanders: what part of the island actually has the best aur? Join us for a further investigation on this matter in the middle of august, right when the weather is usually the best but the tourists have left.

Aur Gotland is a three day semi supported gravel adventure on the island of Gotland in the Baltic sea. Daily stages vary from 120 to 160 km on a mix of surfaces including some fast tarmac. Always trying to find those paths with a unique narrative.
