A fundraiser for the Homer Cycling Club! The 2022 Big Fat Bike Festival is a non-competitive 16 mile beach ride with an option to bike-pack and camp for one night. This year’s route is Homer to Anchor Point, featuring 16 miles of beautiful Kachemak Bay coastline. We are introducing a bike-packing element to the event. Participants can either pack their own gear, or ride-light and take advantage of a sag wagon. This is great opportunity for newbies and veterans alike to hone their bike-packing skills and their kit on a known route with varied terrain. There’s something for everyone!

Participants can choose their own adventure: ride, ride and camp, bike-pack and camp. For overnight bike-packers/campers, the option exists to ride back to Homer on Sunday making this event an overnight, 32 mile-long bike-packing adventure. Camping will be at the Halibut Campground near Anchor Point. Family members are welcome to join for camping with vehicle access. Registration includes a 1-year membership in the Homer Cycling Club. $100/person or $200/family.
