Bikepacking Buds Winter Warmer

Join us for a mini bikepacking festival in the New Forest at the YHA New Forest, with beautiful trails, fabulous food, and meaningful connections. Bikepacking Buds was born in a campsite near Lyndhurst in January 2022 and everyone is welcome as we return to celebrate our first year.

On Saturday there will be a choice of on- and off-road cycle adventures, with all rides converging midday for a cosy pint. Back in camp there will be optional talks and workshops, or take some time to explore and relax on your own. On Sunday we’ll ride out together to track down the most iconic sights of the Forest, finishing at Woods Cyclery to celebrate the Buds’ first birthday.

Bikepacking Buds is all about breaking down barriers and sharing our love of outdoor adventure in a welcoming, inclusive manner. This gathering is our opportunity to pose ideas, hear stories, and reflect on what we’ve done well and what we can still achieve. Bring your best party vibes, and your vision of what the future of bikepacking could be. We’re here to cycle – camp – connect, and we’re excited to have you along.

What does your ticket include?

– Two nights accommodation in shared dormitory accommodation
– Basic DIY breakfast on Saturday and Sunday
– Communal dinner on Saturday night (Vegan friendly)
– Road and gravel routes of varying distances
– Skills sessions and campfire chats
– Opportunities to connect with other bikepackers

Not included in the ticket price

– Lunch on Saturday and Sunday
– Bike hire (available locally for a fee)
– Dinner on Friday

Tickets will be sold in two batches, in the second batch a small number of tickets will be ring-fenced for those who cannot afford the standard ticket. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to cover the associated overhead costs involved with running the Bikepacking Buds community.
