Bikepacking Franconia is a single stage self-supported bikepacking adventure in the heart of Franconia region. Riders are invited to the beautiful lakeside starting venue in Trebgast for a get together and camp the day before departure. The route breaks path through the impressive countryside and medieval history mainly on forest and gravel lanes away from busy roads. Involving serious and steady climbing up and down the rolling hills riders will be rewarded with tremendous views including the Ochsenkopf being the highest point on the tour. Along the way a variety of campsites, shelter huts, re-supplies and a checkpoint halfway will be found and indicated in the rider’s route manual. Riders shall finish within 8 days earning their finisher patch back at the lakeside venue in Trebgast after mastering this memorable route.

Total distance covers 760km and 12.000m with GPS Live Tracking via Follow my Challenge. Registration will be limited to appox. 80 bikepacking enthusiasts. Finally, the cost is at 115 EUR including GPS Tracker – starters bringing their own Tracker start at a reduced fee of 95 EUR.

In addition to the multi-day ROCKSTART the first edition of Bikepacking Franconia will give a ONEDAY option covering 150 kilometres.
