The bikepacking Trans Germany race follows 1,000 miles across Germany on forest roads, gravel, tarmac, old cobblestone, and singletrack.
Bikepacking Trans Germany (BTG) is a bikepacking race crossing Germany from south to north starting at the Swiss border and finishing at Cape Arkona on the island of Rügen covering 1,650km and more than 20000 metres of climbing.
Since its premier edition in 2016 BTG has attracted ultra-endurance racers as well as bikepacking enthusiasts from multiple countries and has established itself as one of the most popular events in Europe. Even though the 2021 edition is already booked out, there are still options to tackle the route in Individual Time Trial (ITT) mode or to ride it in southbound direction.
