Cabrita Gravel Festival is a self-supported gravel adventure on Fuerteventura, the closest island to Africa, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2009.
Cabrita Gravel Festival means, above all, the passion for gravel grinding and good socializing. It is a meeting for the European Gravel Community who love fun and want to ride one last event to close the season 2024, cycling in the sun in a unique landscape that is reminiscent of the Sahara desert.
You can choose one of two mostly unpaved routes (150km or 400km in total) for a bikepacking adventure that starts and ends in one of the most charming villages of Fuerteventura: El Cotillo. Highlights include Cofete, one of the natural wonders of the
Canary Islands (if not the world!), Sotavento beach and the stunning wilderness with mile after mile of unspoiled coast and the rural interior of the island with demanding terrains, lonely areas among mountains, ravines, and stone pens for goats (cabritas) which are a permanent presence in Fuerteventura’s landscape. Expect suggestive dirt roads, sunny and windy days, and unforgettable, well-earned views from every corner of Fuerteventura.
The 1st edition will take place from 6th to 10th November 2024: the perfect escape before winter comes!
