Dirty Detours: Whangamomona

Dirty Detours will take you deep into the Republic of Whangamomona across some of the best gravel roads the country has to offer. There’ll be beer, food and music waiting when you roll back into town…this is not a race.
Dirty Detours is a ride experience first and foremost. We want our riders to take in the surrounding landscape and so we have worked three timed stages into our course, with the remainder of the course being neutral so riders can socialise and enjoy the remoteness of the area. The ride will start and finish in Whangamomona, with a festival awaiting riders on their return with live music, food and a pop-up bar. Our goal is to remove riders from the hustle of day to day life, to showcase a forgotten region of New Zealand and to create an experience unlike any other in New Zealand.
