This self-supported, single-stage, fixed-route bikepacking event follows the classic rules and principles of ultra-cycling paces, but in the spirit of Audax, participants are here allowed to ride in a group and draft each other. The Audax is a collective adventure and a personal challenge to finish the route. There are no prizes, no medals, no brevet cards or finisher diplomas.

The route mainly goes by fast double tracks and secondary lanes but includes sandy sections, rocky paths and some hike-a-bike. We recommend mountain bikes with low gearing and min 2.2” wide tyres.

From Lanzarote to La Palma, the route connects 5 islands with 4 ferries featuring epic sea-to-summit climbs across the most diverse landscapes and climates. From sunny beaches to snowy peaks, across sandy deserts, lava fields, volcanic landscapes, tropical canyons, misty pine woods and rain forests.

Live Tracking

The Audax pace is the challenge to connect all the scheduled ferries in a non-stop ride, it’s only achievable by ultra-cycling athletes, and the entry fee will be fully refunded to every rider fast enough to make it.
