Hungary XXL (2019)

We have been organizing bike tours since 2011 and 1000+ km long bike tours since 2012. These events are not races. We would like to show as much sights as possible during the tours. The Hungary XXL event is offered in 3 distances: 2,025 km, 772 km and 318 km. These distances contain 12,271 m, 5,388 m and 2,723 m of climbing, respectively. For each one of these tours you can explore the most beautiful sights of the Bakony Mountains (Grandtour Bakony), of the Northern Transdanube (Grandtour Northern Transdanube) or of the whole of Hungary (Hungary XXL). It’s a real challenge for all cyclists!

There is no qualifying requirements. Our tours are open for all participants. We don’t use an online tracking service. You can verify your performance with any bill at the finish and with selfies or pictures about your bike on the intermediate checkpoints. You have to send to the organizer an SMS about your position once a day as well. A diploma, the official medal of the Randonneurs Hongrie created for this event and a custom-designed bike jersey are included in the registration fee. The diploma can be downloaded from the website after the tour. You have to be self-supporting during the event, consequently there is no drop bag service on the tour. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. We will give you a detailed GPS file.
