The Huracan 300 Challenge is the ULTIMATE OFF-ROAD ENDURANCE EXPERIENCE in the state of Florida. The route features over 100-miles of singletrack, many remote miles of double track forest roads and abandoned paths, and a few miles of pavement here-and-there. During the route, riders cross numerous forests, The Cross Florida Greenway, two mountain bike parks and miles of some of Florida’s longest and hardest climbs. That’s right, we said long and hard.

The Huracan route is well known and extremely popular. Because of this, permits and insurance are required. Unfortunately, permitting is not something anyone is doing right now because of the pandemic.
I also understand that folks want/need some time to plan.

Keeping all that in mind, I am announcing that the 2021 Huracan 300 will be an OYO edition. OYO means On your own. Riders will have from January 24th to February 24th to complete the route, submit their GPS data, and their 4 checkpoint photos.

Follow along live below:

There will be a four-hour time bonus for anyone who completes the route self-sustained, only obtaining water from publicly accessed spigots or streams. There will be no group start or group camps.

Everyone who submits their results will receive a patch and an additional piece of schwag(TBD) and there will be an FKT trophy of some sort up for grabs.
As is the tradition I have been very busy scouting and finding ways to make the route even better, so expect some surprises.
