Hydra Epic trail – a XIII year product of many searches and adventures. It was created with a help of volunteers and participants.

Lithuania:

The trail starts in Lithuania, Druskininkai city, near the border of Poland and Belarus, almost fully repeats the nearby water lines of rivers Nemunas, Neris and partly Žeimena, touching the best of nature parks, crosses the famous Labanoras and Gražutė regional parks, then patrols the Latvian-Lithuanian border for a while.

Latvia:

After leaving the border duty, track quickly reaches Riga and crosses biggest Latvian river Daugava. From there it follows most scenic river Gauja in it’s regional park up until Estonia’s Valga city. The views from the river banks are fascinating and for some might remind of forested canyons.

Estonia:

In Estonia track uses roads of estonian forest service (“RMK”), which go along Latvian-Estonian border, then starts to wind through famous Haanja route and finishes up with Tartu marathon track.

Finish is 30km away from Tartu, second biggest Estonia’s city, in Tartumaa Sports Complex.

In this way the route traverses Baltic States from south to north.

The route has both technical cross country singletracks and long fast gravel parts, which go through most beautiful lithuanian, latvian and estonian cities, small countryside towns and forests. Along the trail there is an opportunity to visit a handful of big cities in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia: Kaunas, Vilnius, Zarasai, Riga, Sigulda, Cesis, Valmiera, Võru and etc. – for sure you will be surprised how close singletracks and city centers can be and at the same time how beautiful and untouched nature is in Baltic states! You will also have to check yourself in four time limited checkpoints where you will meet our volunteers.

Have some of best times exploring exquisite baltic nature and challenge yourself in endurance at the same time!
