Intro to Bikepacking: Leap Year Edition

A slightly supported bikepacking group ride that can be completed in 24hrs. Join this group ride and enjoy all the wonderful sights and sounds of travelling by bike. This will be an off-road ride. You are encouraged to carry your own stuff… including coffee, bacon, and beer. Plan on 20-ish miles per day. Our final destination will be in “The Hungryland”. If you like stargazing, this is your spot! I also have a special gift for all newcomers!

This is designed to provide an accessible way for the bike touring curious to find their way into the world of adventure cycling/bike touring in a safe, and welcoming environment.

Everyone will be “expected” to carry all their own gear, food, and water. At least try!

You must be able to confidently cycle 20+ miles or around 2-3 hours out to our campsite and back again in the morning.

Don’t worry if you don’t have all the gear. Just sign up for the trip. The next step is that we can help evaluate your set-up and help you acquire (purchase, rent, borrow) the pieces you might need. I have lots of extras!

Once we arrive in camp, we can relax and take our time setting up tents, hammocks, etc… I’ll be on hand to help as well as others.

There will be a support vehicle. Mainly for any unforeseeable circumstances. ie. you must bring something you cant carry.
