Korea Epic Ride is a 520km group ride intended to promote Korea’s bicycle camping routes and for riders to get our and practice with their gear…
Let’s take a journey towards something that energizes us. It’s even more meaningful when like-minded people come together to share experiences. Let’s enjoy the quiet dawn, intense riding, and exciting evenings together. We seek freedom. We dream of exploring unknown lands, admiring breathtaking landscapes, and experiencing the extraordinary freedom that only travel can provide.
It is a group ride, you start the first day of the event at the same time, however you decide where to eat and where to sleep. Wild camping or commercial campsites are recommended. You can use the restaurant or buy groceries on the route.

The difficulty of the three seasons except winter is rated as ‘Normal’. Water and food can be obtained easily on the route, and the road surface is in good condition except for the collapse of forest roads due to landslides caused by the rainy season or typhoons in summer. A drivetrain for MTB is recommended because of the steep sections that are sometimes passed, but gravel bikes with rigid forks are also available.
Water: Most of the running water in the forest area is clean enough to drink directly. However, it is recommended to carry a water purifier just in case. You can buy bottled water at the grocery store.
Food: The route passes about 10 medium-sized villages with large grocery stores, so you only need to carry a day or two’s worth of food. Food procurement conditions in Korea are very good.
Route length:
– Epic 500: Length 520km, elevation gain 13,400m
– Epic 300: Length 297km, elevation gain 7,000m
