MONUMENTAL Gravel 2026

MONUMENTAL is an epic adventure that brings together the thrill of gravel riding and Belgium’s rich cycling heritage. This self-supported bikepacking experience challenges riders to conquer legendary climbs, traverse iconic cobblestone roads, and explore scenic gravel trails through the heart of Belgium.

Starting and finishing close to Leuven, the route winds through historic landmarks like the Lion’s Mound, the Sonian Forest, the cobbled climbs of ‘De Ronde van Vlaanderen’ and the many hills from ‘Liège-Bastogne-Liège’. Both these cycling monuments are linked via as much off-road tracks as possible. Whether tackling the full MONUMENTAL Grand Tour (800km), or the shorter loops (500 or 300 km), you will discover the grit, beauty, and spirit of Belgian cycling culture. This is a journey for the bold—a celebration of endurance, nature, and the indomitable Flandrien spirit.
