Moonrise Bike Ride (Fall 2021)

This is Ottawa Bike and Trail’s third Moonrise Bike Ride overnight adventure. We’ll be loading up our bikes and riding the Flint Hills Trail State Park to Pomona Lake State Park for an evening of food, music, and camping. This year we’re adding a new route option. You can choose to ride the traditional, 20-mile (one-way) route from Ottawa, Kansas to Pomona State Park. Or, you can choose the NEW 50-mile route from Council Grove to Pomona State Park. Or, you can choose to ride both routes, provided you have transportation back to your starting point.

After arriving at Pomona Lake State Park you’ll enjoy live music by Pretend Friend and Jenna and Martin Band, a chuck-wagon dinner by Angry River BBQ, and a moonlight bike ride around the park. In the morning you’ll enjoy breakfast and coffee before starting your return trip on the Flint Hills Trail State Park. The event is open to everyone, but spots are limited.
