This is the 6th year for this event, though the first year under new organizers, as the original organizer Mark Lendzion moved out of state.

North South Colorado follows a 600 mile route along the Front Range of Colorado. Beginning in Fort Collins and ending in Trinidad, the route takes you up and over many passes, including scenic Rollins Pass and Cordova Pass, both topping out over 11,000 feet. In total, this route traverse over 50,000 feet of climbing over its 600 miles, while remaining nearly 70% unpaved. While this is primarily a gravel route, there are still some challenging sections of chunk, and a couple sections of green/blue singletrack.

This event is fully self-supported, so expect to supply all that you will need to be safe and comfortable throughout your ride. Though the route’s distance and elevation gain may seem daunting, water and resupply remain pretty straightforward, with the largest gap between resupply sitting right around 80 miles. Riding through the night or taking it nice and slow, this route is certain to provide stunning views and tough days.
