Climate Ride’s Seattle to the Sea Bike Camp is a 5-day guided, car-free bikepacking adventure designed to teach backcountry self-sufficiency across Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. We’ll traverse 150 miles of paved trails, gravel forest roads, and smooth singletrack. Carry your own camping gear, embrace a casual pace, and end your days swimming in pristine lakes or relaxing by beach bonfires.

You can expect an experience that blends outdoor skill-building with community connection and joy. Experienced guides will lead the way, teaching essentials like ultralight packing and leave-no-trace camping while providing shared backcountry kitchen and safety gear. The route winds through towering forests and mossy canyons, culminating at the dramatic coastline of La Push, where you can cap off the adventure with a hike through Olympic National Park or a morning surf session.

Beyond the physical journey, this event turns your miles into a powerful mission for environmental stewardship. Fundraising proceeds directly power Climate Ride’s new Bikepacking Education Program, an initiative by the nonprofit designed to equip adventure-seekers with the skills to explore remote spaces sustainably. By fostering a deeper connection to the natural world, this program inspires a lifetime of mindful, low-impact exploration.

Additionally, your participation directly safeguards the wild spaces we cherish. A vital portion of the event’s proceeds is granted to local trail coalitions that tirelessly build, maintain, and protect the very pathways that make this journey possible. By funding these dedicated land caretakers, the ride ensures that public backcountry corridors remain accessible, safe, and sustainable for future generations of outdoor enthusiasts.

Ride with us! August 9-13, 2026. Bring or rent your own gear: Gravel or Mountain Bike, bikepacking bags, camping gear. Fundraising requirement: $1,800 (Donations are 100% tax deductible). Email info@climateride.org with any questions!
