For those bikepackers out there not yet up to the full 1000+ km and 11000+ m of elevation of the BC Epic, BC’s ultimate bikepacking race, or those that simply do not have the time this season to commit to the Epic… comes the ‘Buckshot’!

2018 Buckshot has been cancelled due to wildfires, local smoke, and sections of route are along evacuation alert areas.

The planned inaugural event in September 2017 needed to be cancelled due to the wildfires in BC – the inaugural run of this race is thus now scheduled for 1 September 2018! More time to plan it and make it even more awesome!

From the creator of the BC Epic race and with the generous offer from Jeff Blanken and crew at District Bicycle Co. for a central staging area this race/ride with options for 280km (single barrel) or 580km (double barrel – separate 580km course, not two 280km loops) out of Kamloops BC will go down over the labor day weekend this coming summer. (Sept 1-3th) This allows for 3 days in which in to complete your chosen distance at your own pace over the long weekend (or longer if you choose), starting and ending at District in Kamloops providing a venue at which fellow riders and supporters alike can gather to watch you walk away from taking the Buckshot!
