The route features nearly 23,000 feet of climbing on primarily gravel and dirt roads while traversing through parts of the Monongahela National Forest and four state parks in Maryland. The route also begins and finishes in the picturesque small town of Oakland, MD, once voted the best small town in the U.S. Along the route, racers will get the opportunity to see countless vistas, virgin hemlock forests, and all the majesty of the ancient Appalachians.
The grand depart rolls at 7 AM on September 16th, 2023 from the Tiny Corner Bike Shop. Registration and up-to-date race information can be found on the event’s Facebook page or the Snallygaster 200 page of the Tiny Corner Bike Shop website (www.thetinycornerbikeshop.com). Event tracking will be done through Trackleaders.
