Ultra Bike Pursuit Series: Ultimate Pyrenees 2020

The Ultra Bike Pursuit series offers the world’s toughest mountain road challenges. Each event also comes with an easier loop option.

These routes are 100% on asphalted roads. No gravel trails, no bike path, no dull roads. Routes are carefully designed by a native local guide, regional expert and experience bikepacking racer to only showcase the very best of each region.

Three separate events: Tourmalet, Hautacam, Ultimate Pyrenees.

Ultra Bike Pursuit: Ultimate Pyrenees (France, Spain & Andorra)

The Ultimate Pyrenees Ultra Bike Pursuit combines the itineraries of both the Tourmalet and Hautacam Pursuits. This route includes most of the famous and lesser-known climbs of the entire French, Spanish and Andorran Pyrenees.

This is not a mere Pyrenees crossing. This is a ride back in time in the footsteps of the Grand Tours pioneers. A ride steeped in over a century of cycling history. A ride so unimaginable that whether you finish or not, will remain etched in your memory forever.

This itinerary will push the boundaries of your physical limits. It’s the ultimate mountain road bikepacking adventure.

September 6th – 12 Days (288 hrs)
Ultimate Pyrenees Pursuit: 2,739 km / 55,219m
Pyrenees Pursuit (Shorter-Loop): 2,143 km / 36,491m

The Ultimate Pyrenees Pursuit starts on September 6th at 8h30 AM (one hour before the Tourmalet Pursuit) from the town of Lourdes. For ease of travel and logistics, the event finishes in the same town. Participants have 12 Days (288hrs) to complete the course.
This itinerary is also split into two separate events (Tourmalet & Hautacam Pursuits) for cyclists who prefer a shorter option.
