Join Flow Mountain Bike Adventures on a women’s only introduction to bikepacking in the Canadian Rockies!
Are you interested in trying out bike packing, but not sure where to start? If you’re up for an adventure and checking out a new area then this trip is for you. Adventure rides from our campground are also an option if people still have energy once we reach our camping location. This trip will take us into the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. You will be in awe of the jaw dropping scenery, and will come home relaxed and ready to organize your next bike packing adventure.
You must be comfortable biking 25 to 30 km’s a day with up to 900m’s of elevation gain so a decent base level of fitness is required, as well as Intermediate mountain bike handling skills (i.e. you are comfortable mountain biking on most easy to moderate Intermediate Mountain Biking Trails). Cost is $450 + GST and includes a fully guided and catered experience with instruction on mountain bike packing. Dinner and breakfast are provided courtesy of Peak Eats. Our guides will prepare these delicious meals for you around the campfire so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the experience. Peak Eats provides options for those who are gluten intolerant, vegetarian and vegan therefore let us know if you require special meal accommodations and we’ll get this sorted for you.
We will send you a gear list of what you’ll need for the trip, as well as instruction and guidance on how to pack everything on your bike. We also don’t expect you to invest in a bunch of bike packing bags before you decide if you like bike packing. Our weekend trips are designed to give you a taste of bike packing in a fun, safe and supportive environment with our qualified guides who have an abundance of backcountry experience. Our bike packing trips operate on a 5 to 1 client to guide ratio, so you’ll get lots of instruction and attention throughout the trip.
We look forward to providing a unique mountain bike adventure in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Alberta during these unique times.
