For his latest drawing, Indonesian artist UyokSuryo recreated one of our Budget Bikepacking Build-Off bikes. See his rendition of Logan’s 1988 Schwinn High Sierra here, plus a nod to our Rider’s Lens series, which recently turned 10 years old…

The latest post from Indonesian artist UyokSuryo popped up in our feed the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a unique rendition of my 1988 Schwinn High Sierra from our Budget Bikepacking Build-Off. For those unfamiliar, we featured the illustrations of UyokSuryo in an installment of our Rider’s Lens series in 2020. At the time, he’d just started drawing bicycles and their riders while locked down with his kids during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was a reminder to me of all the lovely creative endeavors we’ve showcased in Rider’s Lens, and the mind-blowing fact that this little series just turned 10 years old. A decade since we started it, we’ve published nearly 70 Rider’s Lens features, and we want to keep them coming.
