A 2023 Cotic Cascade restock is coming in August with fresh color options, a new extra small size, and several updated builds, including fat-bar versions. The two new colors include finishes Cotic has had on other bikes in the past. One is Cosmic Black, a deep gloss black with subtle gold flake, and the other is Army Green, a subtle, under-the-radar matte finish. Additionally, the 2023 Cotic Cascade is now available in an extra-small frame size.
As mentioned in our review of the Cascade back in January, “for a lot of folks, it might make an interesting ATB-style flat-bar bike, particularly if you’re in between sizes and the fit makes sense.” The Cascade is long and certainly has an old-school XC mountain bike vibe. Cotic took this to heart and is now now offering flat-bar builds across all levels.
The flat-bar build kits are basically the same as Cotic’s mountain bike kits, starting with the Silver SLX-based drivetrain with Shimano wheels and Deore brakes at £2,049 ($2,540). The bike in the photos is this spec with wheels and fork upgraded to HUNT XC Wide and the SID SL suspension. It weighs 12 kilograms (26.5 pounds) in size large. There are also Gold XT or Eagle GX builds, with the latter having an AXS wireless shifting option.
Both Army Green and Cosmic Black Cascades are available to reserve now for delivery in August. Frameset prices start at £949 ($1,175). Find more details on build kits and pricing over at Cotic.co.uk.
