The 2025 Cane Creek Pisgah Project bike is an annual dream build that brings together businesses in Western North Carolina and beyond to raise money for a vital local cause. Now in its ninth consecutive year, the collaborative project has the potential to hit a cumulative $300,000 for the preservation of the Pisgah National Forest. All proceeds from the raffle go directly to The Pisgah Conservancy (TPC), a nonprofit that has cared for Pisgah’s trails, rivers, wildlife, and native plants since its founding in 2015.
With the destruction brought on by Hurricane Helene in late 2024, the Pisgah Conservancy has faced new challenges in preserving the delicate and unique areas of the Pisgah National Forest. With the funds raised by the Pisgah Project bike, the conservancy has been able to find better footing. Per Nina Ardle, the chief administrative and development officer of The Pisgah Conservancy, “Since its inception, we’ve completed dozens of major improvement projects, increased the size of our field staff (including the addition of a full-time Trail Crew in 2023 and Invasive Plant Management Crew in 2024), and so much more.”
