Forever known as the 2025 Iditarod Trail Invitational’s “magnificent seven,” last night, the first group of riders finished the 1,000-mile route following the historic Iditarod Trail from Knik to Nome, Alaska. The first seven riders to finish were traveling together for the past few days and spent their final night together in a cabin in the Alaska wilderness just 50 miles east of the finish in Nome.

As is tradition with the ITI, the riders faced extremely challenging conditions. There were reports of sketchy sea ice crossings, difficult coastal conditions, unimaginable winds, and areas with no snow at all. The afternoon sun made for soft and slow riding conditions as the route warmed up, but the lead pack pushed on to finish the ITI 1000 together in 17 days, 3 hours, and 38 minutes. Here’s a list of the finishers and their Iditarod experience provided by the event organizers.
