Norco is proudly re-entering the gravel space in 2025 with its reimagined Norco Search. This modern gravel bike features an integrated front fender, alloy and carbon builds, and downtube storage. For more on this competitively priced build from Norco, read on below…
The updated Norco Search is the brand’s re-entry into the gravel space. After some years away, they’re back with a revamped version of their flagship gravel model, and it’s chock-full of all the hallmarks this corner of the industry has come to expect. The latest Norco Search features a downtube storage compartment (on the carbon models), clearance for 700 x 50mm tires, an integrated front fender, and three-pack mounts and rack options for their aluminum models. The carbon version is also suspension-corrected for smaller squishy forks.

What’s most intriguing about the new Norco Search is their aluminum offerings. Where the carbon models seem focused on going fast far, their aluminum models appear to be centered around accessibility and adventure. With three-pack mounts on the fork and others along the frame for racks and fenders, it’s great to see a meaningful distinction between material models besides just price and weight.

Another great aspect of the new Norco Search is the price. With a variety of build options that go as high as $3,300 USD, the base aluminum Norco Search Flat Bar starts at just $999 USD. While it’s not all that uncommon to see budget gravel bikes near this price point, seeing a larger company make the effort toward price accessibility is refreshing after years of industry mainstays continually raising the ceiling.

In all, the new Norco Search looks an interesting addition to the new crop of gravel bikes with even larger tire clearances. While I can’t say I’m all that intrigued by another carbon offering with 50mm clearance and downtube storage, the aluminum version of the new Norco Search seems like something that would do well as an entry level, do-it-all bikepacking bike. We’re always interested in trying a budget aluminum bike these days, so I’ll be looking to throw a leg over one soon.
