The new Stooge MK7 has clearance for 29 x 2.8″ tires, comes in two color options, and for the first time, is offered in a trio of sizes. Learn more about the Stooge MK7 here…
The Stooge MK series was born in 2014 as a rigid, big-tired 29er, and despite some angles and specs changing throughout the years, the original DNA has remained consistent. Logan reviewed the MK6 a couple of years ago and praised its comfortable tubing selection and versatile geometry, which is perfect for trail riding and bikepacking. In fact, Logan liked it so much that it took the top spot in our 2023 Gear of the Year Awards.

Taller riders will be happy to hear that the new Stooge MK7 is offered in three sizes for the first time. Alongside the 16″ and 18″ frames is a new XL 20″ frame with a longer effective top tube and reach, making it ideal for riders 6’2″ and taller, according to Stooge. Otherwise, the angles Logan enjoyed remain the same, including a 66° head tube angle, 74° seat tube angle, and 60mm bottom bracket drop.
The MK7 still has an eccentric bottom bracket, boost hub spacing, and bolt-on rear dropouts. Stooge has also updated the fork to a beefier biplane offering with a 65mm offset, and the frame can comfortably fit a 29 x 2.8″ tire in the rear and 29 x 3.25″ up front. One thing Logan wished the MK6 had was mounts under the downtube, and it looks like Stooge addressed that with the MK7. Dig into the complete geometry chart below.
