The Stooge Speedbomb is part klunker, part modern rigid trail bike, and 100% badass. Stooge describes it as “the ultimate Klunkpacker,” with a unique mix of slack trail geometry, twin top tubes, and clearance for 29+ tires. Like the Dirt Tracker, the Speedbomb is only available in one size with an 18″ seat tube, 625mm effective top tube, 450mm chainstays, and a 66° head tube angle, which should be suitable for folks 5’7″ up to 6’1″ with suitable speccing of stem and bars.
Stooge just updated the Speedbomb for 2025 to make it even better for bikepacking. The refresh includes a new 65mm offset biplane fork for faster, more stable steering, especially when loaded. The fork uses a 15 x 110mm thru-axle, has triple cage bosses and rack mounts, and can clear 29 x 3.25″ tires. Rack mounts have been added to the rear triangle, and there’s an extra bottle cage under the downtube for a cargo or bottle cage.
It’s still designed around a double-butted 4130 Chromoly steel frame, boost hub spacing, and internal dropper routing for a 30.9mm post. It uses an adjustable eccentric bottom bracket (EBB), which allows for 27.5+ and singlespeed setups, and all other cables are externally routed. It’s available in three fresh color options for 2025: Grey, Rose Tinted, and Blue Sky.
The Speedbomb frameset costs £840 for customers in the UK. For overseas customers, a UK VAT of 20% will be deducted at checkout, so the price you pay will be £700 plus postage.
