The updated Knolly Cache Titanium still features a titanium frame with CNC-machined details, but now offers more mounting points, SRAM UDH rear dropouts, and a suspension-corrected front end. Dig into the details here…
The Knolly Cache Titanium was first teased in 2018, and its questionable component mix had everyone wondering whether it was a gravel bike with an identity crisis or something else. Hank Hansen wrote a detailed review here, and we’re excited to see Knolly continuing the Cache evolution with a freshly updated version that builds on the original.
Like the original Cache Ti, the new version is still built around a titanium frame with custom-shaped tubing and CNC-machined details. It maintains 29 x 2.1″ tire clearance in the back, and 2.3″ clearance up front, as well as a nearly identical silhouette with a short seat tube and sloping top tube. It is designed to work with 1x and 2x drivetrains, both mechanical and electronic. Knolly has moved to a SRAM UDH rear dropout for the latest Transmission drivetrains, but they also include a CNC-machined hanger for hanger-mounted setups. Knolly has also added the option for a new carbon gravel fork with an adjustable offset (49mm or 54mm), which is set up with three-pack mounts and fender mounts.
The Cache Ti is still offered in seven frame sizes, but the head tube angle has been slackened from 71° to 70°, and the axle-to-crown length has been increased to accommodate modern short-travel gravel suspension forks. Other updates include the addition of top tube bosses and a brand-new Cache gravel fork. Other specs include a 68mm threaded bottom bracket, 12mm hub spacing, and flat-mount brakes.
