The 2026 Old Man Mountain Experimental Bikepacking Team has just been announced, and it includes a host of new riders and personalities joining the brand’s unique project. For more on the new riders, dive into the details below…
Following the success of years past, the 2026 Old Man Mountain Experimental Bikepacking Team is back and bigger than ever. From five to a healthy 15 riders, the latest expansion includes more than just racers. With most of the original five re-joining the team, additions to the squad include Alyssa Gonzales, Dexter Kopas, Jake Dugdale, and Susie Douglas. In-depth information on each rider can be found on Old Man Mountain’s website, where some of the athletes detail their race plans for 2026.
As for the team itself, riders will be supported by Old Man Mountain, Silca, Ocean and San apparel, and the Robert Axle Project. Team riders will test and prototype upcoming Old Man Mountain products while racing and riding all over the world. With events like DOOM, the Taurus Mountain Race, and the AZT all on the docket over the next year, it will be a fun journey to follow. Though the “team” element is a loose concept, as not all racers will attend the same events, Old Man Mountain hopes to create a training camp where all members can come together for four or five days.
