The Stridsland Titanium Beachcomber is a premium Ti version of founder Matias Stridland’s take on the ultimate 26+ modern-retro MTB. Pre-orders are open for the latest version, which sees several updates for 2026. Learn more here…
If you thought 26+ was dead, then Matias from the small Denmark-based company Stridsland is here to prove you otherwise with the new Beachcomber. The final prototypes were teased in 2023, and the first pre-order for both steel and titanium Beachcombers opened in 2024. There have been a few batches since then, and it’s always interesting to see the unique builds that Stridsland’s customers dream up. We’re excited to see an updated Titanium Beachcomber available for 2026.
There are some notable changes for 2026, including the shift from non-boost thru-axles to boost hub spacing and a redesigned titanium fork with a 3D-printed steerer, thicker leg walls, and more mounting points, including 45-degree forward-facing three-pack mounts and a rack/accessory mount near the top. There’s a new extra-small (46) size option for shorter riders, and the dropouts have been adjusted for better brake caliper clearance. The final change is a new brushed silver logo, replacing the anodized fade logo on the previous version.
Other specs include clearance for 26 x 2.8″ tires (it also works great with 26 x 2.3″ tires, or up to 27.5 x 2.5″), a 73mm threaded bottom bracket, a 1-1/8″ headtube, a 31.6mm diameter seatpost, and IS disc brake mounts front and rear. It features a Grade 9 Ti-3AI-2.5V, double butted front triangle, titanium hardware, and each frameset includes a steel or titanium Barnacle Lite fork and both axles.
For EU customers, the Ti Beachcomber costs €2,475 to €2,742, depending on the selected fork. For everyone else, it costs $2,324 to $2,575 USD. The estimated lead time is seven months, meaning customers should receive their Beachcombers sometime in July/August.
