A few hours ago, 23-year-old Will Bodewes closed out his 2021 Colorado Trail Race, and just minutes ago, 48-year-old singlespeeder Jefe Branham rolled across the finish line. Find details here…

This afternoon, 23-year-old Will Bodewes from Durango, Colorado rolled through Waterton Canyon to finish the Colorado Trail in four days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes (4d:11h:30m). Will had a strong ride, and for a few hours during the race it appeared as if he might start nipping at first place finisher Ned Bachanko’s heels. Congrats, Will!

Later, Colorado Trail Race organizer, four time Colorado Trail Race winner, and all around good guy Jefe Branham finished his race making it the ninth time he’s completed the Colorado Trail. Jefe posted a time of four days, 16 hours, and eight minutes (4d:16h:8m) riding the same Why Cycles El Jefe he used to bag the AZT300 singlespeed record just a few months ago. We were hoping to see Jefe take the singlespeed record on the Colorado Trail this year, but the weather wasn’t in his favor, so Timon Fish’s 2018 time of 4d:6h:39m stands. That one’s for ride number 10, Jefe!
