Adidas just unveiled a surprising new take on one of their classic sneaker models. The new Adidas Velosamba takes the iconic Samba design and makes it clipless compatible for style and comfort on and off the bike. Find details here…

In an unexpected reinterpretation of one of their classic sneaker models, Adidas just announced the all-new Velosamba, a clipless-compatible version of the iconic Samba football shoe that they say is geared toward commuters and indoor training. Nearly indistinguishable from classic Sambas upon first glance—a shoe that was a staple in my closet for the better part of my youth—the new Velosamba insole incorporates a full-length reinforced plate for increased stiffness and added pedaling efficiency. Underneath, the rubber outsole, designed for long days of walking around the city, integrates a two-bolt cleat mount for clipping in once you’re on the bike. It has a classic lace-up design and reflective stripes for added visibility on the road.
